Fans accuse Shax of chasing fame

Namibian musician Shax Champion released a new single titled Aha on Friday, signaling a confident new phase. Early listeners say the track could be a new anthem. Known for hits such as Kop Pyne and Gemors, he blends kwaito, amapiano and street rhythms into an energetic Namibian sound. The single, produced with longtime collaborators at Champion Sound, carries his bounce, danceable beat and playful lyrics.

Shax says Aha captures the moment a beat connects and everyone feels it, with themes of self-belief, fun and brushing off negativity. Originally from Lüderitz, he rose after the viral Gemors with Musketeers, followed by Kop Pyne and Too Much Sauce. Consistent releases have built a loyal following and a reputation for bridging township roots with mainstream appeal. He says more music is on the way and views Aha as a step forward in growth and confidence.
