Fast Food and Soda Fuel Mouth Cancer Surge

Professor Victor Ifeolu Akinmoladun told students that bad foods cause mouth cancer. The University of Ibadan surgeon delivered his 582nd inaugural lecture about oral health dangers. Sugary drinks and processed meats create inflammation that leads to deadly tumors. Fried foods and refined carbohydrates damage cells and promote cancer growth. The professor studies how diet affects oral and facial surgery patients every day.

Cancer kills three out of ten people aged 30 to 69 from diseases that never spread between humans. Head and neck cancers rank among the ten most common deadly diseases worldwide. The professor compared inflammation and cancer to criminals working together for harmful goals. Chronic inflammation feeds cancer cells and helps them multiply throughout the body. Failed immune systems cannot always prevent tumors from starting and spreading rapidly.

Vegetables and fruits protect people from stomach, lung and throat cancers according to research studies. Zinc, copper and selenium help produce enzymes that fight dangerous free radicals attacking healthy cells. Antioxidants and vitamins keep mouth tissues strong against cancer development. People should avoid alcohol and tobacco products that directly damage oral tissues. Taking vitamin supplements and eating healthy foods reduces cancer risks significantly.
