FC Platinum can equal an unbeaten run record as Scottland visit Mandava

FC Platinum approaches a historic milestone as they prepare to face Scottland at Mandava Stadium this Saturday. The Zvishavane-based team has maintained an unbeaten streak across 22 consecutive league matches under coach Norman Mapeza. One more game without defeat would equal the 23-match record set by Highlanders in 2012. The team currently sits fourth on the league table with 40 points, trailing leaders Simba Bhora by four points. Their defensive partnership of Mbongeni Ndlovu and Nickson Nyasulu has conceded just eight goals while scoring 23.

Scottland enters the match as serious contenders, holding second place with 43 points after four consecutive victories. Coach Tonderai Ndiraya recently secured the services of Warriors captain Knowledge Musona to strengthen their championship ambitions. The debutants seek to become the first team this season to defeat FC Platinum. Ndiraya aims to achieve back-to-back titles with different clubs after guiding Simba Bhora to victory last season. This encounter could significantly reshape the championship race.
