FIR filed against five for blackmailing Yash’s mother over film publicity

Authorities in Karnataka registered a case against five individuals following allegations from film producer Pushpa, mother of actor Yash, who accused them of misappropriating funds meant for promoting her production Kottalawadi. The complaint filed at High Grounds police station names PRO Harish Urs, Manu, Nitin, Mahesh Guru, and Swarnalatha as defendants who allegedly received approximately Rs 64 lakh but failed to deliver promised publicity services.

Pushpa told reporters the accused engaged in deliberate sabotage of the film's release while threatening both her and the director when questioned about financial accounting. She stated that negative propaganda emerged shortly before theatrical distribution and that associates falsely claimed nonpayment from her family. The producer obtained a court injunction before approaching law enforcement and submitted evidence to both police and industry organizations. She suggested additional victims exist but remain reluctant to file complaints against the group.
