Firefighters rescue an injured 1.5m crocodile on Miri road

Emergency crews in Miri removed an injured crocodile from a roadway after the reptile apparently collided with a motor vehicle on Saturday night. The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department received notification at 10:03 p.m. and deployed six responders to Marina Phase 1, where they located the approximately five-foot reptile lying on the pavement with visible trauma consistent with a vehicle strike.

Rescue personnel secured the animal using rope-snaring methods before transferring custody to Sarawak Forestry officials for additional care. The department concluded its response at 10:38 p.m., according to an official statement released on Sunday.
