Flame Sound debuted the Vatra loudness plugin without limiting

Getting louder without a compressor or limiter anywhere sounds contradictory until you look underneath. Vatra, from Flame Sound, chases perceived volume through harmonic generation, saturation, and transient work, leaving peaks unclamped and source dynamics mostly intact.

Five knobs sit in fixed order at 4x oversampling. IGNITE runs a dual-stage density engine pushing quiet material toward the peaks, HEAT spans tape territory from gentle color into open distortion, WEIGHT saturates lows for body rather than EQ boosting, AIR treats the top end similarly, and PUNCH shapes transients.

Dedicated IN and OUT knobs cover gain staging and level-matched bypass checks. Ten presets ship beside a manual suggesting starting positions for full mixes and single sources.

It marks a debut for Tomislav Zlatić, who founded Bedroom Producers Blog, after roughly two years of building. He states flatly that no AI touched any stage.

Nothing guards it either. No dongle, no license manager, no activation dance, and lifetime updates included. macOS 11 upward covers Intel and Apple Silicon; Windows 10 or later qualifies, VST3 and AU supported. Intro price $39 against $69 regular, and a full 7-day trial exists.
