Forget Wolverine, Insomniac's Venom is getting a Carnage showdown

Industry sources indicate Marvel's Wolverine remains scheduled for a 2025 release date. Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming reports that internal playtesters have responded positively to early gameplay sessions. The development team has prepared a trailer that may debut at The Game Awards in December rather than an earlier State of Play presentation. Recent speculation suggests the title will showcase gameplay footage for the first time during upcoming gaming events. Fans can expect official announcements regarding the mutant superhero adventure within the coming months.

Insomniac Games continues active development on a separate Venom project according to MP1st sources. Eddie Brock will serve as the primary host for the alien symbiote following events from Marvel's Spider-Man 2. The character design will draw inspiration from comic book interpretations rather than recent film adaptations. Carnage will appear as a significant antagonist within the Venom storyline. Cletus Kasady's appearance in the previous Spider-Man game established groundwork for this darker symbiote's eventual return.
