Four hour ordeal for Sidra in Mandi Bahauddin flood nightmare

Emergency responders from Rescue 1122 Mandi Bahauddin completed a difficult water rescue operation that saved seven people from rising floodwaters. The victims became stranded near Benhan stream when waters rose around their location. District Emergency Officer Imran Khan directed his team through a demanding four and a half hour mission that required walking five kilometers through dangerous conditions. Rescuers used GPS equipment to find the trapped family members.

The operation presented unique challenges when crews discovered one victim was a disabled woman named Sidra. Emergency workers transported her by carrying a traditional bed over long distances while other family members received flotation devices. The Secretary of Emergency Services commended the rescue team for their professional response during the water emergency. All seven people reached safety after the extended operation concluded successfully.
