Freeman Chari links Makandiwa's flat Earth to weed

Political activist Freeman Chari has publicly criticized Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa after the religious leader made statements about Earth's shape. Chari used social media to mock the prophet's recent claims through satirical commentary. He drew parallels between Makandiwa and a former associate who promoted unusual theories while under the influence of marijuana. The activist referenced bizarre concepts about time travel and supernatural encounters that his acquaintance once promoted. Chari expressed frustration with what he perceived as absurd religious teachings affecting public discourse.

Makandiwa had previously declared that Earth possesses a flat surface rather than a spherical shape. The prophet also rejected established scientific principles by characterizing gravity as merely mass or weight. His statements generated widespread mockery across various online platforms. Critics have accused the religious figure of spreading false information to his substantial congregation. The controversy highlights ongoing tensions between religious authority and scientific consensus in Zimbabwe.
