French spy boss taunts Tehran, says US-Israel raids hobble Iran nukes

France's top spy boss has some serious news about Iran's nuclear weapons plans. Nicolas Lerner runs the country's secret intelligence service and he knows what those airstrikes really did. The attacks from America and Israel smashed Iran's nuclear program back several months at least. Every single part of their bomb-making process took major damage according to Lerner. He told French TV that Iran cannot build nuclear weapons as fast as before.

President Trump keeps bragging that the strikes completely destroyed Iran's key nuclear sites. The Pentagon thinks Iran got pushed back one or two years from making bombs. American spies first said the damage would delay Iran just a few months. Lerner warns everyone should stay careful about celebrating too early. Intelligence agencies around the world still cannot figure out exactly how much damage happened.

Iran had stored 450 kilograms of dangerous uranium that could make nuclear weapons. Most of that deadly material survived the bombing raids and stays under Iranian control. The country might try building bombs in secret locations that nobody knows about. Iran stopped working with United Nations nuclear inspectors after the attacks happened. Lerner says his spies need more time to understand the full impact of what those warplanes accomplished.
