Fuse Audio Labs created a new plugin called OCELOT Octaver that changes audio pitch up and down at the same time. The software adds deeper bass sounds to drums and makes synth music brighter. Musicians can control how much octave effect they want with simple dials. The plugin uses very little computer power and creates almost no delay.
OCELOT Octaver works differently from other octave effects because it lets users pick which frequencies to change. Two tune controls help target specific sound ranges. Listen buttons let musicians hear just the octave effects alone. Each octave section has its own bypass and solo buttons for more control.
The plugin shows lots of visual information about the audio levels. Three meters display the main signal strength and both octave levels. A large display takes up the bottom half of the screen to show what the audio looks like. The output section gives musicians 12 decibels of volume adjustment up or down.
The software runs on Windows 7 computers and newer Mac systems. It supports VST2, VST3, AU and AAX formats. The company sells it for 24 pounds and 50 pence until July 19th. After that date the price goes up to 59 pounds with taxes included.
