Future In Our Hands Growth Strategies

Future In Our Hands The Gambia (FIOHTG) wants to improve the country. It works on good governance and social change. The group just had a big meeting at Tendaba Camp in the Lower River Region.

At the meeting, they reviewed their work in 2024 to determine what went well and what was difficult. They also made plans for 2025.

Jainaba T. Sarr is in charge of FIOHTG. She said the government helps groups like hers do good work. FIOHTG focuses on social change. They want to improve people's lives, and education is a big part of that.

Sarr said the meeting was important. It shows that FIOHTG is honest and open. People can trust them with money from donors. She also said it's good to work with other groups. The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education is a key partner. They work together to make schools better in The Gambia.

Sarr thanked the Board of Directors for their help and advice and the communities and other groups that work with FIOHTG.

Ebrima Drammeh works for FIOHTG, too. He said the meeting allowed different teams to think about their work. They could see what was going well and what needed fixing.

Aminata Jatta also works there. She said the meeting would help people work together better. There will be another big meeting soon, which will help strengthen the team even more.

FIOHTG thinks the meeting was very important. It will help them do even more good work next year, and they want to keep helping people and communities.
