NASENI just dropped a program called FutureMakers that targets kids between 5 and 16 years old across Nigerian schools. Executive Vice Chairman Khalil Suleiman Halilu wants to turn curious students into legit innovators by giving them access to design thinking workshops, prototyping labs, and mentorship from industry people. Senator Francis Ezenwa backed the whole thing, saying it gets young people building tech instead of just using it.
The first round runs for three months and takes 60 kids from all six geopolitical zones. Top performers can score up to N5 million in prizes, study abroad trips with the NASENI boss, and scholarships. Applicants need to be Nigerian citizens under 17 with proof of age documents.
