GALAX's black RTX 5080 HOF is a slap in the face to loyal fans

GALAX breaks tradition by launching their Hall of Fame graphics cards in matte black for the first time ever. The company abandons their signature white aesthetic with these RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti Black Edition models. Gaming enthusiasts can finally get premium HOF performance without committing to white-themed builds. The manufacturer targets builders who prefer stealthy black systems or more subdued color schemes.

Engineers packed each card with vapor chamber technology that connects to multiple heat pipes for superior thermal management. Three cooling fans work together with two larger units flanking a smaller center fan for balanced airflow. ARGB lighting illuminates the central fan frame and top accent piece through GALAX software controls. The cards measure 241 by 145 by 66.7 millimeters and occupy dual PCIe slots with potential overhang. Power delivery requires standard 12-pin PCIe connections plus optional 8-pin connectors for extreme overclocking.

Factory overclocks push the RTX 5080 to 2,775 MHz boost speeds while the RTX 5070 Ti reaches 2,625 MHz. These represent 158 MHz and 173 MHz increases over reference specifications respectively. Display outputs include three DisplayPort 2.1 and one HDMI 2.1a port supporting 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 240 Hz. The bundled Xtreme Tuner utility handles fan curves, temperature monitoring, and ARGB customization. Zero-RPM idle modes keep systems silent during light workloads.
