University of Gambia journalism school finished a four-day training session with UNESCO partners on Friday. The workshop taught media educators how to add new topics to their classes at GAFNA Hall from May 27 to 30. Teachers learned about fact-checking, hate speech, disability coverage and artificial intelligence reporting. Professor Melchizedek Onobe said journalists must tell the truth without fear but stay humble when sharing news. Fatou Njie from Gambia's UNESCO office told participants that media shows what society values most.
