GEA and Mastercard Foundation team join the Koforidua minister to boost local business

Margaret Ansei Magoo brought representatives from the Mastercard Foundation Ghana team to meet Eastern Regional Minister Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey this week. The Ghana Enterprises Agency chief executive organized the official visit to Koforidua as part of regional engagement activities. The delegation toured the famous Koforidua Bead Market with the minister participating alongside them. Local artisan support and indigenous craft promotion formed central themes during their discussions about entrepreneur empowerment and regional economic growth. The minister praised both organizations for their work with small and medium enterprises nationwide.

Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey pledged strong cooperation with the Ghana Enterprises Agency to implement programs benefiting Eastern Region residents. She emphasized her readiness to collaborate on initiatives supporting local entrepreneurs and small business operators. The meeting represents part of GEA's wider plan to build regional partnerships while advancing entrepreneurship goals. Local industry support remains a priority under the agency's job creation and economic empowerment mission. These strategic alliances aim to strengthen business development across the region.
