Geoffrey Ruku tears into IEBC over 2027 vote meltdown in Nakuru

Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku stormed into Njoro demanding the electoral commission get ready for upcoming polls. The Public Service boss slammed opposition chiefs for trying backdoor routes to power instead of facing voters properly. Ruku blasted critics while insisting President William Ruto would deliver on campaign pledges before the 2027 showdown. The minister pushed hard for IEBC bosses to speed up preparations for both local by-elections and the major national contest. He warned that Kenya's democracy hangs on getting the timing and transparency right.

Fire victims in Tipis received emergency supplies during Ruku's mercy mission through Nakuru County. The government official distributed food parcels and blankets to families who lost everything in the recent blaze. Local leaders joined the relief effort while Ruku promised continued support during the recovery phase. His ministry received fresh powers under Executive Order No. 1 of 2025 to handle disaster response better. The new mandate covers emergency aid, preparation planning, and long-term community rebuilding programs.

Ruku addressed worshippers at Full Glory Church of Kenya in Mutukanio during his county tour. The cabinet secretary urged believers to pray for national unity and back the Kenya Kwanza administration. He told young people to grab government opportunities in business development and digital work training. The minister warned youth against letting scheming politicians exploit their energy for personal gain. Previous leaders had wasted their chances to create meaningful change for ordinary Kenyans.
