Gerik Temenggor stream yields body, Supt Abdul Samad, and TNB on scene

Authorities discovered an unidentified male corpse in a Temenggor stream near Gerik yesterday morning. A 32-year-old indigenous resident spotted the body floating face down at 8.25 am while traveling through the Air Rengat area. The witness immediately traveled to Pengkalan Trojan and notified Tenaga Nasional Bhd auxiliary officers about his discovery. District police received the alert at 9.10 am and dispatched investigators to examine the scene. Superintendent Abdul Samad Othman confirmed that officers found no identification papers on the deceased person.

Medical examiners at Gerik Hospital will conduct a post-mortem examination on the remains. Police have categorized the incident as a sudden death case pending further investigation results. The utility company confirmed the discovery occurred along their power station access road but outside facility boundaries. TNB operations continue without disruption while authorities conduct their inquiry.
