Get ready for Kalro asset auction

KALRO plans to auction off many old items next month. The public can buy vehicles, lab equipment, office supplies, scrap materials, tires, furniture, and batteries from them. Two auction companies will handle sales at different locations between May 5 and May 14, 2025. Every auction starts at 10 a.m. sharp. People interested should check items during work hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. before bidding.

Some items can be seen at one place, but buyers will bid somewhere else. Bidders must pay a returnable fee equal to 10 percent of the starting price for each lot. Registration happens one hour before auctions begin. The minimum price will be revealed during bidding. Everything sells as-is with no warranties.

Winners must pay 25 percent of their bid immediately through an electronic payment system. If someone wins but cannot pay immediately, the second-highest bidder gets a chance instead. Full payment must happen within 14 days after winning. Buyers should use their correct legal names from their ID cards for all paperwork.

Anyone who pays but waits longer than 14 days faces storage fees of 500 shillings daily. KALRO takes back any items not collected within 30 days after the collection deadline. Make sure to plan when participating in these auctions.
