Ghana Cops Fire Back At Judge Car Tow Hoax

Ghana police say they never locked up four officers from Adenta. These cops faced claims that they bothered a judge, hit her clerk, and wrongly took her car from the court area to their station.

The judge said this all happened last December. She complained but saw no action taken. The cops were just asked to tell their side and went home right after, said criminal investigators yesterday.

The police team, led by Inspector Godwin Dey, also had Inspector Francis Adjei, Sergeant Dasebre Oti Boateng, and Corporal Jonah Ajubulisa. These officers only came in to explain what happened during the reported trouble at Adenta Court Complex.

The CID statement makes clear that the officers were free to leave after discussing the case. This contradicts earlier news reports that claimed the police held their four members at the station.
