Ghana Health Centre Gets Mega Gift From Dutch Crew

A group of Ghanaians living in the Netherlands gave medical supplies to a health center back home. The Oldtimers Executive Club brought these items to Koforidua Effiduase Health Centre in early February as part of their 20th birthday celebration. Health officials, chiefs, community members, and club people attended the event. They donated protective gear, cleaning materials, medical supplies, chairs, and other healthcare items the facility needed badly.

Mr. Annor Asiedu Darkwa from the club said they wanted to thank the community that raised them. He leads both the Oldtimers and the Effiduase Kroye Kuo groups. The assembly member, Mr. Otuo Acheampong, accepted everything and said it came just when they needed help most. Former local leader Dr. Edward Asante Antwi showed up with other important guests like the Effiduase queenmother.

The club started in 2004 and grew into a tight group of Ghanaian workers and community folks living overseas. They hope other groups with Ghanaians abroad will copy what they did. Last month, they helped the Asuboa Community Clinic with similar gifts. Next, they plan to support health centers at Nkoranza-Asekye and Asante Mampong as they continue helping places that need medical aid across Ghana.
