Ghana's poultry farmers demand fair play over frozen imports

Ghana’s chicken farmers are playing a rigged game where the rules change every patch update. Boris Baidoo of Boris B’s Farms argues the sector is suffering because policy direction is more inconsistent than a flaky Wi-Fi connection. The CEO claims that local producers have the skills, but get wrecked when cheap frozen imports destroy investment confidence. He notes that feed costs devour nearly seventy percent of the budget, meaning one bad maize price fluctuation collapses the entire operation. Baidoo insists the meta needs to shift from begging for subsidies to unlocking tech upgrades and finding alternative food sources. He demands that the government and private investors finally coordinate a strategy to stop global markets from wiping out domestic livelihoods.
