GIGABYTE Adds BIOS Profiles for up to 35% Gaming Gain on Core Ultra 200S with Z890

GIGABYTE released a new computer tool called Ultra Turbo Mode for its Z890 motherboards. The feature works with Intel Core Ultra 200S desktop processors. The company says gamers can see performance jumps up to 35 percent without buying new hardware. The tool changes settings inside the computer's BIOS system. GIGABYTE created similar software for AMD processors before this release.

The company makes bold claims about how much faster games will run. GIGABYTE says memory tests show 68 percent better results with the new mode. The racing game Hitman 3 reportedly runs 35 percent faster on test systems. Computer experts warn people should question these numbers since they seem very high. Most processor upgrades do not deliver such dramatic speed increases.

Ultra Turbo Mode offers three different speed settings for users. The first level uses Intel's 200S Boost technology from earlier this year. The second level makes more changes to processor and memory settings. The third level promises to unlock maximum performance from the hardware. GIGABYTE has not explained exactly what the strongest setting does.

The new feature will arrive through motherboard updates soon. All GIGABYTE Z890 motherboards will receive the Ultra Turbo Mode option. Users can choose which performance level works best for their needs. The company has not shared screenshots proving the performance gains. Computer buyers should wait for independent testing before expecting these results.
