The Gonjaland Youth Association welcomed new leaders at a ceremony Saturday. The event happened at the University of Professional Studies in Accra. Traditional rulers and political figures attended the gathering. Youth representatives from across Ghana came to show support. The ceremony also raised money for development projects.
Alhassan Baba Darison became the new president of the group. Dramani Issahaku Mastana serves as first vice president. Madam Issahaku Mariama took the second vice president role. Habib Muftawu Borejikpr will work as secretary. Other new leaders handle public relations and organizing duties.
Darison spoke about fixing youth joblessness and education problems. He wants to bring people together for the Savannah Region. The new leader said unity and peace matter most. Attendees promised over 300,000 Ghana cedis for youth programs. The money will help with scholarships and cultural activities.
