Gov covers first year and disability fees

Dr Clement Apaak says the government will keep its promises about education. He explains they have two main plans for college students: paying first-year fees and helping students with disabilities. The Deputy Education Minister mentions they have set aside money for these programs. He points out that this work started before the Mahama administration finished its budget planning. His team talks with schools to make everything happen correctly.

The minister shared that they expect to spend at least 340 million Ghana cedis on these programs. This amount might change depending on how many students enroll. Money has already been assigned for this project. Dr Apaak feels confident that resources will be available as needed. The government remains dedicated to supporting students across Ghana.

He addressed concerns about timing but assured people that the process moves forward as planned. The ministry continues working with partners to deliver the promised support. Students can expect help with their financial burdens soon. The administration wants to make education more accessible for everyone. Their focus stays on making college affordable throughout the country.
