Gov Sanwo-Olu names his nine new Lagos overlords

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has authorized fresh appointments to the position of Permanent Secretary within the state administration. Head of Service Bode Agoro issued the official notification through a circular bearing reference CIR/HOS/'25/Vol.I/069 and dated September 23, 2025. The document reached senior officials such as the Deputy Governor, House of Assembly Speaker, Chief Judge, Commissioners, and Local Government Chairpersons. These appointments target enhanced civil service operations and improved policy execution across state institutions.

Nine professionals received elevation to Permanent Secretary status from their previous roles. The appointees come from diverse sectors such as healthcare, education, finance, administration, and infrastructure. Their former positions ranged from Chief Medical Officers and Directors of Education Districts to specialists in finance, human resources, and engineering departments. Agoro requested all government ministries, departments, and agencies provide complete support to these officials as they assume their new responsibilities and contribute to state development initiatives.
