Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq switched around some jobs among his team members on Monday. He brought in two fresh faces during the shuffle. Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe became the Education and Human Capital Development leader. Dr. Maryam Nna Fatima took over as Commissioner for Social Development. The state lawmakers had just recently approved these new appointments.
Several existing commissioners moved to different departments as part of these changes. Hajia Sa'adatu Modibbo Kawu left her Education post to head Tertiary Education instead. Dr. Mary Arinde stepped into the Planning and economic development role. Lafia Aliyu Kora Sabi received command of the brand-new Transportation Ministry created during this reorganization.
More shifts occurred across other departments throughout the administration. Olohuntoyosi Thomas Adebayo moved from Agriculture to lead another newly created department, Livestock Development. Dr. Afeez Abolore replaced Adebayo at Agriculture. Abosede Olaitan Buraimoh transferred from Social Development to become head of Solid Minerals.
The Governor praised both newcomers during the ceremony, saying they earned their promotions from their previous jobs as Senior Special Assistants. He told everyone present this marked a new chapter for the designated commissioners. He reminded his team their mission involves working together to improve Kwara beyond its current state.

He mentioned better public education, improved healthcare, rural development, infrastructure upgrades, social inclusion, and wealth redistribution programs.
