Natembeya reshuffles Kitale cabinet, four new executives sworn in

Trans Nzoya Governor George Natembeya appointed four new cabinet members after previous executives departed their positions. The swearing-in ceremony occurred at Kitale Town Hall county offices where Kerio Lorot assumed Water and Environment duties. Pius Gumo took charge of Lands while Eliud Tormoi accepted Gender and Youth responsibilities.

Robert Wamalwa replaced Julia Ruto in Public Service Management as Tormoi succeeded Stanley Kirui. Natembeya explained the restructuring would enhance county service delivery and address urgent priorities. Contract renewals for six additional executives prompted interested candidates to submit fresh applications.

The governor emphasized land management difficulties and water access expansion as key challenges requiring immediate attention. Community representation improvements motivated several appointments as the administration seeks broader demographic participation.
