GSC's STALKER 2 roadmap is just a list of fixes for a broken game

GSC Game World released the development roadmap for STALKER 2 covering the remaining 2025 updates. The Ukrainian studio will implement Unreal Engine 5.4 to enhance game performance and stability. Players can expect additional missions from returning characters alongside fresh anomaly types and weather patterns. The developers plan to introduce night vision equipment and binoculars while expanding the day-night cycle duration. A master difficulty setting will challenge experienced players seeking greater immersion.

The A-Life artificial intelligence system receives substantial improvements affecting NPC vision capabilities and combat behaviors. Mutant encounters will feature rebalanced difficulty levels and enhanced combat mechanics. Interface updates target player equipment displays and general user experience refinements. The Zone Kit modding platform advances from Phase 1 to Phase 2 with audio modification support and narrative creation tools. PlayStation 5 version development continues without confirmed release dates, though Gamescom may provide additional details about console availability.
