GSF claims progress in Haiti gang crackdown

The UN finally gave peacekeeping troops real teeth to smash Haitian gangs and secure airports. This Gang Suppression Force says it made serious progress clearing out bad guys since Security Council Resolution 2793 authorized a switch from the old mission to a harder-hitting squad under Kenyan command. Reports claim officers are working with local police and the army to snatch weapons while reopening roads around Port-au-Prince that criminals previously locked down.

The team set up forward bases inside danger zones to cut response times while guarding transit hubs. Personnel from places like Jamaica, El Salvador, and The Bahamas are supposedly running patrols day and night to keep critical supply lines moving without interruption.

International backers promised zero tolerance for abuse while trying to win over locals through blood drives and peace marathons. The group plans to spend the next year wrecking criminal networks to prep the ground for democracy.
