Ambassador Elisabeth Anne Harper passed away Saturday at age 67 following an extended illness. The veteran diplomat served as Guyana's representative to the Caribbean Community and held the position of Permanent Secretary within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Harper dedicated over four decades to public service after joining the foreign ministry in 1976 as a registry clerk. She advanced through various roles before becoming Director General in 2001.
