Gweru Central police win Midlands sports gala as Patson Nyabadza hails discipline

Gweru Central Police emerged victorious during the Midlands province sporting competition held at their home grounds. Officers from across the region participated in six different athletic events that featured football, volleyball, and netball among other disciplines. The week-long tournament showcased competitive spirit and physical fitness among law enforcement personnel.

Commissioner Patson Nyabadza praised participants for demonstrating improved skills and mature conduct throughout the competition. He emphasized how athletic activities help maintain professional standards and personal dignity within the force. Minister Owen Ncube reinforced government commitment to recreational programs that align with national development objectives.

The provincial tournament serves as preparation for the Commissioner General Sports Gala where regional champions will compete against teams from other provinces. This initiative supports the Second Republic's strategy to decentralize sports and promote physical wellness among public servants. Winning teams advance to represent Midlands province at the national championships.
