Hampton shuts out BLEXIT, claims rule breach

A conservative organization faced removal from Hampton University after attempting to hold an unauthorized event at the historically Black school's homecoming celebration. Craig Long from BLEXIT said campus officials ended his group's student discussions and cited procedural violations as the reason.

Hampton administrators stated the organization never submitted or completed the required vendor paperwork for homecoming activities. The school processed 36 applications and approved 18 vendors who followed established protocols. University officials said they must verify all campus visitors for security purposes at events that draw 15,000 attendees.

Long posted on social media that his conversations with students were meaningful before administrators intervened. He suggested the university targeted his group because of its political perspective rather than administrative concerns. Hampton representatives rejected this characterization and described the situation as a standard enforcement of campus access rules.

No recordings of the alleged encounter have appeared online. Long said BLEXIT plans to release video footage at a later time.
