Harare partied hard, and here is what ruled the year

Harare turned into a total party zone last year with non-stop legendary events everywhere. Curators Kudakwashe Gwatidzo and Tsungai Madzingira compiled a massive list of eleven bangers that defined the scene alongside Tafadzwa Madzika and Sandra Garwe. Nigel Tha Slick Pastor absolutely crushed his comedy tour, which many called the best laugh of the year. Girlfest brought out the fancy summer dresses, while Tamy Moyo and ExQ handled the stage.

The I Love Mbare Festival saw DJ Maphorisa and Sylent Nqo dominate the crowd with pure talent. Jacaranda Music Festival took over Thornpark Polo, featuring Kamo Mphela alongside heavy hitters like DJ Tira. Joe Thomas finally returned after seventeen years to bless fans with a nostalgic concert that people will remember forever. Unplugged bounced back hard, featuring Liquideep and Saintfloew after a long hiatus.

Skeyi & Strobo Fabrik Party pushed fashion boundaries, while Danai Gurira backed the Africa Voices Now Festival for theater lovers. The Good Seed & Food Festival served local treats at the Botanical Gardens for hungry visitors. Carpe Diem shut things down with Morda and Sun-El Musician putting on a show. Samuel Cosmic hosted ROOTS to showcase deep Afro house beats with Nitefreak. Even the Mud Run and National Gallery events earned some respect.
