Harrison Nott wins the London prize for CoolTowel

A 15-year-old from Essex has won the top prize at Alibaba.com's CoCreate Pitch competition in London, taking home $200,000 for his business venture CoolTowel. Harrison Nott secured the grand prize among 30 finalists who presented their innovations to industry judges at the platform's inaugural European event, which drew thousands of small and medium enterprises from across the continent. His winning product is a reusable towel designed to provide cooling relief during exercise and travel.

The young entrepreneur has built his venture into a business generating £200,000 in yearly revenue while attracting more than 50,000 social media followers. Ten other finalists received $20,000 each, including three additional British companies alongside winners from France, Germany, and Italy.

Alibaba.com President Kuo Zhang highlighted the strong showing from British participants, noting that 18 percent of submissions from the United Kingdom incorporated environmental sustainability concepts. The global CoCreate Pitch program has distributed $1 million in prizes across European and Las Vegas editions.
