Has anyone figured out SEO for AI Overviews and AI Mode searches?

Already asked over on r/localseo, but figured I'd bring it here too since different opinions might help. I'm handling local SEO for a bank in a major city. Can't really name the client for privacy reasons. Anyway, something interesting jumped out while digging through six months of GSC data. One particular location page keeps appearing across loads of long-tail searches associated with AI Mode and AI Overviews. Impressions look impressive, yet hardly anyone actually clicks through.

The search patterns seem focused on questions along these lines:
- "Which checking accounts available in [city] give customers the most flexibility?"
- "What checking accounts in [city] are known for decent customer support?"
- "Which business loans around [city] come with flexible conditions and repayment terms?"
That's only a handful of examples from what I've found. Here's the interesting part, though. When checking the actual SERPs, most pages barely discuss these subjects beyond passing mentions. Directory listings aside, hardly any individual ranking pages have proper sections exploring these questions or addressing them in meaningful detail.

So where would you guys take this next? I've already put together an early draft covering what seems promising, although I'm wondering whether there's another angle I'm overlooking. Anyone dealt with something similar or spotted opportunities I haven't considered? Would be interested to hear some different takes on this. Cheers!

I'd focus less on copying searches verbatim and more on what people actually want to know. With banking, we're talking minimum deposits, account fees, overdraft rules, mobile banking features, online access, nearby branches, support availability, and business loan terms. Make that stuff easy to spot.

From what I've seen, AI Overviews seem to favor straightforward answers and pages where the products are clearly identified. Maybe give each account or loan its own quick comparison section, followed by a few FAQs phrased naturally around those searches. Just make sure the answers reflect real conditions rather than promotional fluff.

And if Google already ranks those pages, I'd be looking to sharpen the specifics and make useful passages...
