Hausfeld names five new partners in balanced promotions round

Law firm partner promotions show a slide in gender parity this year. Hausfeld made five lawyers partners, but only two are women, down from four in the last round. The new partners are Stella Gartagani in London, Karl-Christoph von Steuben and Christoph Schubert in Germany, plus Ashley Crooks and Daniel Weick in New York.

Gartagani, dual qualified, started as an intern at the firm. Von Steuben handles big collective actions like the Truck Cartel cases. Schubert focuses on insolvency and funded litigation, with a side in legal tech. Crooks specializes in data privacy class actions. Weick is an antitrust litigation specialist.

The firm also elevated eight lawyers to counsel roles across London, Berlin, Hamburg, and Washington D.C. These promotions cover competition law, data protection, and complex commercial litigation. Firm leadership said the promotions recognized major career milestones and a dedication to handling novel, complex cases.

In unrelated news, another litigation firm, Pallas Partners, promoted two women to partner. Alessia de Quincey in London and Anastasia Cembrovska in New York were elevated. They also promoted four lawyers to counsel, mostly in their New York office.
