HEDD Audio has released CTRL, a complimentary software application that enables remote adjustment and tuning of the manufacturer's MK2 monitor speakers and Bass subwoofer models. The cross-platform program runs on both Windows and macOS systems, allowing sound engineers to modify their speaker arrays from their preferred listening locations rather than manually adjusting hardware settings.
The application accommodates configurations ranging from basic two-channel setups through complex immersive installations supporting as many as 250 individual speaker units. Engineers can apply ten-band parametric equalization to individual drivers or speaker groups, adjust timing delays for proper sonic alignment, and activate the company's Lineariser phase correction technology. The software stores multiple configuration profiles for rapid switching between different session requirements or monitoring formats.
CTRL manages the MK2 series' Closed or Ported operational modes, bass response characteristics, shelving filters, and desktop equalization curves through network connections. The platform handles subwoofer integration with satellite speakers while maintaining phase coherence across stereo, surround, and immersive audio arrangements.
