Herentals dispatch Kwekwe, deepen woes for bottom place team

Herentals secured a commanding victory against Kwekwe United during Sunday's Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter at Rufaro Stadium. The Students advanced two positions to fifth place in the league standings with 38 total points. John Zhuwawo broke the deadlock after nineteen minutes of play for the home side. Proud Gorekore leveled the score for the visitors during the thirty-second minute. Kundai Sangara restored the advantage for Herentals with his forty-third-minute effort before halftime.

Prince Mahembe completed the 3-1 scoreline with his sixty-sixth-minute goal during the second period. Kwekwe United remains anchored at the bottom of the table with nine points from twenty-four matches. Highlanders managed a 1-1 stalemate with Ngezi Platinum Stars during their fixture. Bikita Minerals defeated CAPS United by a 2-1 margin in another weekend encounter. The Students demonstrated superior attacking play throughout both halves of their matchday 24 performance.
