Highlanders CEO Denzel Mnkandla already dodging tough questions

Highlanders football club picked Denzel Mnkandla as their brand new chief executive officer. Chairman Kenneth Mhlophe made the announcement Tuesday evening after the team finished their search. The former FC Platinum administrator beat out two other people who wanted the job. Mnkandla studied at the National University of Science and Technology before landing this role. He will take over from Kindman Ndlovu who had been doing the job temporarily.

Ndlovu stepped up when Brian Moyo left his position four months earlier. The club searched for weeks to find someone perfect for the demanding role. Nomvelo Mlotshwa and Nkululeko Ndlovu also tried to land the position but came up short. Mhlophe told reporters the team feels excited about their final choice. August 1 marks the official start date for Mnkandla's new position.

The chairman praised the decision and said the club feels confident about moving forward. Mnkandla brings experience from his time working with FC Platinum's management team. His background should help the club tackle upcoming challenges and opportunities. Reporters tried to contact the new executive but could not reach him for his thoughts.
