A local company provided holiday food packages to hundreds of vulnerable families in Bulawayo. Hualin Quarry distributed hampers to four hundred forty two households with elderly or disabled members across Ward 17 areas like Pumula and Robert Sinyoka.
Councillor Sikhululekile Moyo thanked the firm for its ongoing support, noting this was their fourth annual Christmas donation. She also encouraged families not to conceal disabled relatives. The company representative, Ayibongwe Moyo, said the initiative reflects their commitment to the community, which also includes helping with roads and school fees.
Each hamper contained mealie meal, sugar, cooking oil, and juice. Community leaders stated that beneficiaries were identified transparently with input from local officials and social welfare.
