ODPEM Director General Alvin Gayle told reporters at Jamaica House that leptospirosis cases spiked to 84 suspected infections plus 30 confirmed ones, with 12 deaths linked to the disease and seven officially verified. Authorities also spotted two tetanus cases that killed one person.
