ID-Cooling's FROZN A612 Black has hit stores in China at ¥249, roughly $37. This CPU air cooler packs two fans and six heatpipes into one tower, giving PC builders another budget option without the bulk of a full dual-tower setup.
The heatsink stands 160 mm high and measures 80 mm across its depth. A pair of AM-120 fans in the 12025 size handles airflow, with closed-loop motors running the show. Both fans work through the same stack of fins rather than separate cooling towers.
Here's the big claim. ID-Cooling rates the A612 Black at 280 W TDP, which looks decent for the price. But that figure comes from the brand, not a common test that proves how it runs on every CPU. Heat levels, fan speed, room temperature, and case ventilation all affect the outcome.
RAM clearance gets some thought as well. The six heatpipes sit off-center to leave more space near memory slots and nearby parts. That's handy in theory, although tall RAM sticks and tight motherboard layouts may still cause trouble.
Installation looks fairly simple on paper. Metal mounting parts hold the cooler in place, while quick-fit fan hardware cuts down on fiddling with clips. That could make fan removal and routine cleaning less of a chore.
Noise is another factor worth watching. Two fans can push more air through a heatsink, yet high speeds may raise the volume. A fair comparison would put this model against similar coolers at matched noise levels, not just see which one posts the lowest CPU temperature at full blast.
Socket support covers AMD AM4 and AM5, along with Intel Socket V/H platforms. Builders still need to check case height limits, GPU spacing, and memory clearance before buying. Compact motherboards could make that 80 mm depth more of an issue.
A three-year warranty rounds out the package, though service terms may differ by region. For around $37, the A612 Black looks aimed at value-focused PC users who want extra airflow without paying premium cooler prices. Whether it beats rival towers in actual thermal and noise tests remains unproven.
