India gears up for first-ever Para Athletics World Championships

India hosts the World Para Athletics Championships for the first time at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium from September 27 to October 5. More than 2,200 para-athletes from 100 countries will compete in 186 medal events, marking an increase of 15 competitions from the previous tournament in Kobe. Svayam serves as the official accessibility partner, conducting detailed audits of hotels and venues while providing specialized transportation for athletes. The same stadium that welcomed the Asian Games in 1982 and Commonwealth Games in 2010 transforms again to prioritize accessibility and independence for all participants in this nine-day global competition.
