Indian women wrestlers win silver and bronze at 4th Ranking Series in Budapest

Female wrestlers from India claimed two more medals at Saturday's Budapest competition during the fourth Ranking Series event. Priya Malik captured silver in the 76-kilogram category after beating Kazakhstani and Ukrainian opponents before falling 4-3 in the championship match against Brazil's competitor. Her semifinal victory demonstrated technical dominance against her opponent. The former World U20 titleholder showed exceptional wrestling skills throughout the tournament. Her final performance fell just short of gold medal achievement.

Manisha secured bronze through repechage after losing her quarterfinal bout. She rebounded by defeating the French and other international competitors to earn her medal position. The Asian Champion showed remarkable determination during her recovery. Her comeback performances impressed spectators and officials alike. These victories highlighted her mental toughness under pressure.

Male Greco-Roman athletes disappointed on Saturday with no medal round appearances. Sunday's remaining weight categories offer redemption opportunities for these competitors.

Friday's competition yielded four Indian medals, with Antim Panghal and Harshita earning gold. These accomplishments strengthen India's international wrestling reputation.
