Insane Tweak Lets Mac Mini Run on USB C Power Bank

A YouTuber named Saad OUACHE showed that the new Mac mini can run on USB-C power with some changes. He used a small circuit board with a USB-C port connected to power wires inside the opened computer case. The setup works with just a 12-volt, 3-amp power bank that delivers 36 watts of electricity. His video proves that the computer functions normally with a monitor attached through HDMI when powered this way.

Apple might have skipped adding USB-C charging to keep costs down despite making the computer smaller with efficient M4 chips. Most users leave their Mac mini plugged into wall outlets, which likely influenced this design choice. Anyone wanting to try this modification needs electrical engineering knowledge and skill. The basic M4 Mac mini sells for about $502 on Amazon with 16GB of memory and 256GB of storage. Attempting such changes risks damaging your computer permanently.
