Iran’s president declares full war with the US, Israel, and Europe

Iran's president just declared open season on the West, calling it a total war. President Masoud Pezeshkian stated in an interview published on Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's site that Iran is engaged in a full-fledged war with the United States, Israel, and Europe, framing the current economic, cultural, and security pressures as more complex than the conventional Iran-Iraq war of the 1980s. He warned that any new attacks by Israel or the U.S. would receive a more decisive response, claiming Iran's military is stronger now than before the June 2025 conflict that killed around 1,100 Iranians and 28 Israelis.

Pezeshkian's rhetoric, emphasizing national unity against external siege and domestic economic hardship, reinforces Iran's defiant posture amid renewed United Nations sanctions over its nuclear program. The statement arrives ahead of a planned meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump, where Iranian nuclear policy is expected to be a central topic, further highlighting the escalating regional tensions and the stalemate in diplomatic negotiations.
