Ircam rolls out ASAP 2.0 with fresh tweaks

Ircam just put out the brand new version 2.0.0 of their ASAP plugins with several fresh updates. They completely changed Psycho Filter by adding a free drawing mode instead of the old polygon system. They also added an energy clipping filter mode and made the isolation mode look different. The plugin works much better than before.

The Stretch Life plugin also received major improvements. Users can turn transient preservation on or off, depending on their needs. The added tape mode lets you control whether the pitch stays the same during stretching. One big advance lets the plugin create markers automatically using Whisper and VAX neural networks—pretty advanced stuff for audio processing.

The standalone apps look better and feel easier to use with this update. Ircam fixed many interface problems that made older versions harder to use. They solved several bugs that caused problems for musicians and sound designers. The entire package runs more smoothly than previous versions.

All these changes make the ASAP plugins much more user-friendly for everyone. The graphics look cleaner and respond better when you click around. The tools help you shape sound more naturally with less technical hassle. Anyone working with audio processing should find these updates really helpful for creative projects.
