Islamabad poverty boss grilled at TVO as Balochistan left begging for help

Pakistan's poverty minister made a big visit to a major charity headquarters on Wednesday. Federal Minister Syed Imran Ahmad Shah walked into the Trust for Voluntary Organizations building in Islamabad for some serious business talks. The charity boss Ghulam Mohiuddin welcomed him with open arms and showed off what they've been doing across the country. The meeting was all about making life better for Pakistan's poorest people. Shah wanted to see how the government could work better with groups fighting poverty.

The numbers TVO shared were pretty impressive for any charity. They've handed out more than 1.36 billion rupees since they started with American aid money. The organization has backed 1,431 different projects run by 1,212 local groups and charities. More than 10.8 million Pakistani people have gotten help from these programs. They focus on basic stuff like healthcare, clean water, schools, helping disabled people, job training, and dealing with climate problems.

Shah really liked what he heard and saw during his visit. He told everyone that Balochistan province needs way more attention and resources. The minister asked for detailed reports about what TVO has accomplished each year. He wants better teamwork between his ministry and the charity to help more people escape poverty. The visit ended with both sides exchanging ceremonial shields and promises to keep working together.
