Jaffar Express bombed again in Balochistan, 12 hurt as bogies fly

A bomb attack injured twelve passengers aboard the Jaffar Express train traveling through Balochistan's Mastung district on Wednesday. The blast occurred near Spizend when the Peshawar-to-Quetta service passed over a planted device on the railway tracks. Six train cars left the rails while one carriage overturned during the incident. Women and children numbered among the wounded passengers who required medical treatment at nearby hospitals. Railway authorities confirmed 270 people were traveling when the attack happened.

Security forces responded to the scene after the detonation damaged the railway infrastructure. This marked the second attack within ten hours at the identical location along the main railway connection. An earlier blast Tuesday morning near Quetta Railway Station had temporarily halted train services before operations resumed. Track repairs will begin following security assessments while train services face continued disruption. The Baloch Liberation Army previously hijacked this same train route during March, holding over 400 hostages for more than twenty-four hours.
